I wouldn't tell her the whole story, cause it's a tad bit strange, but just explain that you like her alot and wether you could go out somewhere sometime. then take it step by step. if your too shy to say it to her face try it on msn or text, but it is better to her face. if she is nice enough she wouldn't have a horrible reply and make you feel uncomftable, so you have nothing to loose, go for it. :)
