Help buying new shoes?

I am going to buy new shoes for when it's colder. I don't want uggs or anything of the sort. I want some kind of sneaker that if I step in some snow my foot won't get soaked. Does anybody know a good shoe like that from famous footwear? My mom has a coupon. No strictly online stores I want to try them on. If it helps at all I'm 17 years old. Thanks =]
