Buddhism,Love and Reincarnation?

i read a while ago on jet li's website hes a Tibetan buddhist he says in all are life's when we are reincarnated we will always be with the one we love and we know them so well because we've known them all are past life's so if that's the person you love like your partner what about friends do they change in all your life's or do you meet them again
