Will people ever accept Ashley as a girls name?

I think that the majority of people nowadays think that the above names are girl names. Last time I heard of a man named Ashley was from the book/movie Gone with the Wind! (And he was fictional lol) I do not know any men with these names....but I know a lot of women with these names. Besides, I think they are prettier for girls...like one person commented on here, I would think it was weird that a man was named one of these, because we usually ociate them as being female names.
