Why is it that after applying teak oil to bare Iroko shiny patches appear after the oil has dried?

I have just stripped an Iroko front door from varnish using paint remover. I have noticed that after applying a coat of teak oil shiny and matt patches appeared on the surface after the oil had dried. Can you help me out with this problem?
