Why is Angelina Jolie underrated as an actress?

I think people are looking at her personal life too much. I think she is a top notch actress I really do. BUT I can't stand her as a person. I think she is sort of trashy. And I don't have any respect for women who sleep with married men. But I think she is a good actress and deserves credit for that with out her personal life effecting it.
