Okay so I need help with ideas on how to run for student council?

I'm in the 8th grade everyone in the 8th grade knows each other but nobody else really talks to each other. It's like people only talk to and know people in their own grade. So how do I get the other grades to notice me? Without doing something too embarring. Don't take me wrong, I'm open to any new ideas. Just please help me!!! I'm thinking of running for prez, vice-prez, or treasurer. Also: You can comment on what you want me to go for. I'll run for the one with the most comments but only if they come with suggestions!!! :-)
