HCG levels not necessarily doubling...?

i was in a similar situation at the beginning of my pregnancy, although my numbers never dropped. they are supposed to double every day or two and mine were not. they sounded like yours. my doctor also told me that he thought i was going to miscarry because HE read my ultrasound wrong and dated me weeks earlier than I really was. I guess numbers only double in early pregnancy (then they start to level out). I went to another doctor and had an ultrasound done. he found the heartbeat right away and I've had a great pregnancy ever since. I understand how you are feeling...it really is an emotional roller coaster. my advice to you is not to worry about someone telling you that you are going to miscarry. you know your body and trust your instincts. also...find yourself a doctor that you completely trust! it makes all the difference in the world. good luck
